I was very honered to be at Tom's service today! There were many tears, but it was such a celebration of his life. I think most people including myself were so moved by the words of Kristin, Joe, and David. They knew him well as a loving brother and human being. Tom was my dogsitter twice during the Summer of 2006. I have 4 wonderful doggy mutts myself that he looked after which shows over and over again his commitment to loving God's creatures great and small. During one of those times which was my fault, one of my dogs jack russell/beagle mix got under the shed. He had to get Rosemary and Grandmother Bennett to come help.I felt so bad because I know he cried about that. Ultimately, he wanted to make sure Bonnie was safe and he did. He was a wonderful young man with a great since of humor!!! I realized today what a kindred spirit with animals he was!!! He must have accidently left 2 liters of Mountain Dew in my refrigerator after dog sitting. It is my favorite soft drink too!!! God Bless him!!
